FAKE BUSINESS PAGES on FACBOOK
Fake pages were set up on Facebook using our business name. These pages were in French, Spanish and Italian. I found a number of pages that connected to websites that were also using a similar name. These pages were opened in Facebook in October 2020. My page was opened in 2015 and we have never had a complaint on our toys or delivery service.
FACE BOOK COMPLAINT SUMMARY
Complaints made to Facebook regarding the realistic robot scam.
December 2020
- I reported every ad and every page that I found to Facebook under trade mark and copyright.
- I reported realistic robot dog advertisements to Facebook and made comments warning people in the comments not to buy the toy and it was fake.
- My comments were deleted and eventually I was blocked from the pages and groups.
- I continued to report to Facebook from December 20th to January 8th.
- I noticed the pages had been removed / deleted on the 8th of January 2021.
- I have been posting warnings on my Teddybots® Facebook business page about this scam in December 2020.
- In January 2021 on the weekend of the 15th to the 18th I noticed a new set of pages advertising the scam on multiple pages & groups on Facebook. Adverts linked to the same products for realistic robot dogs and contained photographs of real dogs. (images attached)
To date ( 08th 02, 2021) I have had one reply from Facebook saying that the people running this scam were NOT in breach of copyright and trade mark infringement and they refused to continue with my complaints. Also expressed that these pages were running a scam and asked why Facebook allowed them to continue and added my concern that this was a scam and this would effect my business name and reputation. I did not get a reply and continued to report the pages.
Facebook complaint under trademark and copyright infringement reference number was;
203 553 604 645 605.
These pages are using a registered trade mark (R). This is fake.
Teddybots is registered in my name Shane Sutton (Europe and the USA).
